Cherry Blossoms are one of the prettiest signs of spring. This delicate wall sculpture lets you imagine they are in bloom all year long. We love the idea of a using a vintage tea cup to store ribbon or other crafty supplies. And what could be better than a pink desk!

Paper Silhouettes

Paper silhouettes were surprisingly simple to create. To make ours we carefully cut out two profile pictures and used a pencil to trace them onto a sheet of black card stock {an extra scrapbook refill page we had}. After cutting out the silhouettes we used double sided tape to adhere them to pretty pieces of green card stock. A simple and inexpensive craft that can be put in a frame to give as a gift and of course our favorite, put in a scrapbook!

Inspiration for Crafty Spaces: Sketches

A simple sketch can easily be turned into your favorite artwork! I could never find a place to put these four very large sketches. Instead of finding room, I found a solution! I took pictures of all four sketches and put them on my computer. In Photoshop I changed the color to sepia and changed the size to fit my white, 5" x 7" frames. I printed them out on an all-purpose paper (nothing fancy), placed them in the frames and voila, I now how some fabulous artwork!

Inspiration For Crafty Spaces: Silhouettes

{frames from Apartment Therapy, mailing labels from Red Stamp, self-inking stamp from Simply Silhouettes, bar stool from Vintage Renewal, table from Brocade Home via Dose of Design}

We love silhouettes and lucky for us everyone else does too. Whether it be accessorizing with some simple silhouette desk accessories or with something a little more substantial like a great silhouette desk. It's the perfect way to add a classic and slightly sophisticated touch to your own crafty space!

Craft Inspiration From Dior

Inspiration is everywhere! Our favorite way to make something out of nothing is pulling inspiration from the most obvious places, like our favorite magazines. This balloon artwork was inspired by a November 2008 issue of Vogue. With a simple ribbon and paint chips cut out into various circles, a Dior advertisement can turn into a beautiful piece to place on a scrapbook page, on the front of a greeting card or put in a frame!

Inspiration For Crafty Spaces: Paris

{map from Touch of Europe, lamp from Urban Outfitters, pink boxes from Gracious Home, chalkboard from Design Sponge, tags from Hudson Holiday}

You don't need a lot of room to be crafty as long as you are surrounded by things that inspire you to create. The starting point for our inspiration board was the vintage map of Paris after we saw one on Made By Girl and thought it would be so pretty in a frame. We love the idea of having a defined crafty space and think these Paris inspired pieces are perfect.

Crepe Paper Flowers

We found this crepe paper flower craft at craftideas.info. Their directions were simple and so easy to follow. For our flowers we used aqua blue crepe paper and white tissue paper. We loved how ours turned out and who says flowers can't be aqua blue?

Wonderful Graffiti

{image from Wonderful Graffiti}

We love Wonderful Graffiti because we think it just makes a room look classic. They say it best, "We celebrate typography--the art of lettering--in unconventional ways." They offer a creative way to decorate with removable grafitti, grafitti 3D, and the ability to make your own with their blank canvas option. This creativity definition has to be one of our favorites!

ScrappyTime Product Love: Permanent Marker

We think this permanent marker from Martha Stewart is one of the craftiest. You can find it at ScrappyTime.com in one of our favorite colors, sepia. We use it for addressing invitations, writing notes, jotting down memories in scrapbooks, and we swear it makes our handwriting prettier!
